Can a player get sent off in a game?
Yes, a player can be ejected from the game and not allowed to return. An ejection can occur if a player has been violent or abusive to an official. In 2016 a new rule was brought in to the NFL, allowing officials to eject a player if they have received to penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct. However, the team with a player who has been ejected will not have the disadvantage of having one less player for the rest of the game.
